Exterior Truck Wash

  • Washing your truck on a regular basis is a very important step in its  maintenance. Not only does it help keep your ride clean and beautiful,  but is also helps protect the exterior. Our exterior truck wash will  protect your car from grime, debris and oil. All these things, along  with bird droppings can damage your paint. It is also essential to keep  your truck clean during winter in order to remove any salt accumulation  and prevent subsequent rust on your body panel.

At Popular Tire, we use a gentle shampoo and conditioner that will  enhance your truck's inner beauty. Most importantly, all of our brushes  are paint-safe.

Acid Wash

  • At popular Tire, our passion is to take care of your car. We realize  this should be done inside out. Consequently, we have the assurance that  you will be extremely satisfied with the results.

This treatment will remove surface and brake rust. It will also dissolve  grease and road dirt. Moreover, it helps make wire wheels; stainless  steel, chrome and metal shine bright once again. The best part is that  it is done through spraying your truck. This method helps to avoid  additional scrapes.

Oil Change

  • Consistent oil change is one of the easiest ways to extend the life  expectancy of your engine. This simple action also helps reduce any  potential friction in you engine while keeping it clean.

Engine oil guards your car from multiple things such as wear and  heating. The oil will act as a protection shield and avoid metal from  rubbing against each other. Besides, it will keep your engine  temperature down during the combustion process. Furthermore, the oil  will also cleanse your motor, thus, reducing the accumulation of mud.

We will also help you determine which oil type is best for you,  according to the car's manufacturer. Some trucks are still designed for  the conventional oil. It is very crude but nevertheless refined. On the  other hand, synthetic oil does the job however, it has been manufactured  to withstand much more extreme environments. It is steady in very cold  climate as long as maintaining its fluidity during the hot months of  summer.

As a general rule of thumb, oil change should be scheduled every 5000  kilometers. It can also be done more frequently, depending on your car's  operational situations.

Brake Adjustment

  • Poor brake adjustment is one of the most common cause behind brake  failure. Any properly adjusted brake should only have ½ inch of slack.  This adds up to 2 inches of reserve chamber stroke. However, when the  slack reaches 1 inch, this is when you must come in to get it adjusted.  Additionally, the Ontario Highway Traffic demands regular check of  breaks and slack adjusters before any major trip.

At Popular Tire, our staff is trained to maintain all accompanying break  system components. As a result, if you experience any symptoms such as  squealing sounds or loose break pedals, please do not hesitate to  contact us. This is primordial for your safety along with the safety of  other drivers on the road.

Grease Job

  • A grease job makes a big difference. It is easier to seal, thus  minimizing the emollient's leakage. Grease is generally a mixture of  base oil and added thickener. Consequently, its new properties allow it  to withstand higher temperatures. Since your truck is mostly exposed to  heavy and thrust loads, greasing helps to guard the gears and combat  friction. Moreover, it protects the metal contact points against  deterioration. Lastly, greasing the chassis of your truck repels water,  thus, preventing oxidation.

Popular Tire offers one of the best greasing services in the area. Our  service is quick and efficient. Additionally, we only use top grade  products.

Clutch Adjustment

  • This service  is necessary to adjust the free play between the clutch  operating lever and the  foot pedal. A clutch adjustment also helps  protect the friction plate and avoid  clutch drag. Moreover, just like  break linings, clutch discs slowly wear out  with daily operation.  It  is universally  recommended to adjust the clutch every 6 000 to 10 000  kilometers or in case of  failure.

    Warning Signs:
    • Clutch fails to release
    • Slipping
    • Ratting
    • Rigid pedal effort
    • Noisy
    • Pedal stays on the floor

If you experience any of  these indications, please contact us as soon as possible.
